Sibling Rivalry Turns Deadly: PA Man Admits To Killing Sister, Police Say

A fight between a brother and a sister in Pennsylvania turned deadly on Thursday night, according to the police.

Linette Ayala, 22, was found dead due to a “traumatic injury” from an apparent assault in her home in the 2900 block of Spring Valley Road on Thursday, Mar. 10 around 11:30 p.m., according to East Hempfield Township police.

Ayala's dad had come home to find cleaning products around the house and found his daughter wrapped in bedding in the garage,  police say. 

"Ayala Jr. was not home at this time and had left prior with his mother," the police said in a release on Friday evening.

The following day, Joel Ayala Jr., 20, was asked by the when police if he was responsible for his sister's murder, he replied, "Yes," reports WGAL News 8 citing the complaint.

Ayala has been held without bail in the Lancaster County Prison without bail, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Mar. 25, according to court records.

The investigation into this killing is ongoing.
